How to capture meeting notes

Use this workflow when you need quick notes during a call, then want the result to become tasks, projects, or follow-up notes without losing the raw record.

  1. Open the Inbox or global quick capture before the meeting starts.
  2. Capture the raw notes first. Do not stop to decide note type, tags, or project structure while people are talking.
  3. Add action items inline with plain language, or use todo/task capture when the action is already clear.
  4. After the meeting, open the process queue and review suggested tasks, links, tags, and note type changes.
  5. Accept only the suggestions that match what was actually agreed, then link the note to the relevant project or person.
