Shopping List

The Shopping List is a dedicated space for managing items you need to buy. Items can be added manually or auto-captured from notes.

Adding Items

  • Type an item name in the input field on the Shopping page and press Enter
  • Use the /s command in Quick Capture for fast entry
  • Apply a Shopping Item suggestion from AI analysis

Quantities

Items can have optional quantities. The parser recognises several formats:

  • 2x milk — multiplied quantity
  • 500g flour — weight-based quantity
  • milk (1 gallon) — quantity in parentheses

When using the /s command, you can add multiple items separated by commas or "and":

  • /s milk, eggs and bread — adds three items
  • /s 2x milk, 500g flour — adds items with quantities

Checking Off Items

Click the checkbox next to an item to mark it as purchased. Purchased items appear with strikethrough text.

Deleting Items

Click the delete button on an item to remove it from the list entirely.

Categories

Each item can have an optional category (e.g. "Dairy", "Produce"). Categories appear as badges next to the item name, making it easier to group related items.

In Shopping settings, you can choose to sort items by category in addition to the default sort by name or creation date.

AI Detection

When AI analyses a note, it can detect shopping-related content (grocery lists, "need to buy" phrases) and suggest individual shopping items. These appear as Shopping Item suggestions in the Process Queue.
