When can I pay for a plan?
Paid plans open with the paid beta on 7 December 2026, for customers in the UK. Until then you can use the free Linux app.
Is the Linux app really free?
Yes, with every feature and no account. Plans add the web app, sync between devices and hosted AI.
Will there be a trial?
Yes. When paid plans open, you can try Pro for 14 days without a card, then pick a plan or keep using the Linux app.
What happens if I cancel?
You can still read and export everything. Sync and hosted AI pause until you subscribe again.
What is a credit?
Credits pay for hosted AI work such as suggestions, answers and transcription. Your own key or a local Ollama model uses no credits.
What if I run out of credits?
Hosted AI pauses until your credits renew, or you can top up: £5 for 300 credits or £10 for 650. Your own key keeps working.
How much can I store?
250 MB on Basic, 1 GB on Pro and 3 GB on Full, with extra storage at £1 per GB a month. Text notes take almost no space.
Why UK only at first?
We are starting where we can handle tax and payments properly. More countries come later; the Linux app works everywhere today.
Is there a team plan?
Not yet. OikoNotes is built for one person's notes first.
